How does the Infrared Body Wrap work?

The Infrared Body Wrap is a natural heat therapeutic treatment which uses Far Infrared Heat Energy (FIR) that penetrates twice as deep as other heat sources to target toxins and cellulite trapped in pockets below the surface of the skin. Using the body’s natural cooling system, the deep heat treatment simulates the body's metabolism and helps to reduce body fat, remove stored toxins, increase weight loss and help to contour one’s body.

Fat loss and cellulite reduction

When we accumulate body fat, blood circulation becomes worse. Because of a lack of blood circulation, we cannot metabolize or burn body fat. In addition, very little heat is being circulated to that part of your body. This is what we call “cold spots.” When we take away the heat from that area of your body and it cools, the fat then turns from subcutaneous fat into cellulite. Subcutaneous fat is very soft and easy to lose. Cellulite is almost like hard muscle that is hardened from lack of blood circulation.

The purpose of the Infrared Body Wrap Treatment is to apply heat to the body in order to get underneath the fat tissue and thin the blood to allow it to get into the areas where fat tissues exist. Bringing the blood back into the areas that have had restricted blood flow causes the metabolism rate to rise. The heat softens the fat tissue causing it to break up and be released into the blood stream in the form of calories to be burned up as energy.

Burn calories

You can burn over 1000 calories in just one 50 minute session. In order to sweat, your body needs to burn up calories. Sweating uses up energy as your body tries to restore your normal temperature and will continue to burn off calories through the day. While the weight of water lost can be regained by rehydration, the calories consumed will not be and the inches loss from the Infrared treatment will be permanent.

Increase metabolism

The heat produced by the Infrared Body Wrap Treatment is similar to that of a cardio or physical workout all while laying down for a period of 50 minutes. This infrared heat stimulates the metabolism and increases blood circulation just like it would with a workout session. This increased circulation will also increase your Basic Metabolic Rate and by doing so consumes or burns calories. In fact, the body will continue to burn additional calories for a period of up to 36 hours or more due to an increase in the body’s metabolism rate.

Detoxifying

Our bodies are filled with lots of harmful toxins which we collect through our daily environment and our food. Sweating is a very effective way to detoxify and reduce the level of most of these toxins that builds up in our body. Reducing the level of heavy metals such as lead, copper, mercury and other chemical toxins corrects metabolic imbalances that generally can cause poor digestion and weight gain. When toxins that are stored in fat are decreased, it makes it easier to lose weight.

Can I use the tanning bed and the Infrared body wrap on the same day?

Due to the fact that both the tanning bed and the Infrared Body Wrap System give off infrared heat, it's quite possible to receive a burn or heat rash if doing both on the same day. Due to this fact, tanning and using the Infrared Body Wrap System on the same day is not recommended - especially if you're fair skinned and prone to burning. Of course tanning the previous or the next day is perfectly fine.

What is Infrared?

Infrared is the band of light we perceive as heat. We cannot see this band of light with the naked eye, but we can feel this type of light in the form of heat. Our sun produces most of its energy output in the infrared segment of the spectrum. Infrared rays heat your body without having to heat the air in-between, through a process called conversion.

The infrared is divided into 3 segments by wavelengths, among these segments, only far infrared penetrates organic substances such as the human body two to three inches so that the warming effect is very uniform.

How does the Infrared Body Wrap Relieves pain and injuries?

The Infrared Body Wrap helps with sprains, strains, arthritis, muscle spasm and other musculoskeletal ailments. The deep heat helps blood vessels dilate, bringing relief and healing to muscle and soft tissue injuries.
